Michele has spent many years studying Yoga, and this shows in her understanding of anatomy, and the ease with which she teaches.” – Kate Cordell, Student Michele Benton began practicing yoga in 2007, focusing mainly on the Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow styles. In the summer of 2010, she met the late Sarasvati Devi through her friend and teacher Christine Northcote. Having spent a year considering the next step on her path, specifically whether to become a yoga teacher herself, Michele took this fateful meeting as a sign. She graduated from the Prana Vinyasa Radiant Transitions program in October 2011 at the Full Circle Yoga Studio in Winter Park, Florida. In 2016 Michele earned further certification to teach Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga. She currently teaches SUP skills, SUP Yoga, and SUP private group classes in New Smyrna Beach and various other locations in Florida. In 2018 she earned a 500 RYT Certification through the Yoga Alliance by completing a 615-hour teacher training certification with Mylinda Morales at Yoga University of Florida in Altamonte Springs, where she teaches Yin Yoga and Warm Alignment Yoga. Her yoga teaching style has a strong emphasis on anatomy and alignment, which along with her past training enables Michele to provide a safe and therapeutic practice no matter the student’s level of experience. Michele’s specialties include nutrition and yoga on the go, as well as yoga for athletes including runners, cyclists, and weightlifters.
