SUP Yoga at Paddleboard NSB

What is SUP Yoga?
The simple answer is Alignment based, all-levels yoga on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP). A one hour class with 20 minutes of paddle time/play-time. Total class time with safety instructions is 1 1/2 hours.
This class will consist of a yoga sequence on the water that emphasizes core and balance. Poses will start low on the board as the student gets used to the movement of the board and then work our way into standing poses.
We begin on the dock behind Paddleboard New Smyrna Beach at 11 am on Saturday’s with basic safety and paddling instructions before paddling around the cove to a beautiful and calm spot where we will practice yoga on the boards.
The experience of SUP yoga is so exciting and different from being inside of the studio.
Price- $35 Includes Instruction, paddleboard, paddle, life preserver and leash. $15 discount if you have your own board, life preserver, and leash.
10 spots available for each class.
All classes are weather permitting, refunds will be given if the class has to be canceled.
What to wear? Something that you don’t mind getting wet. Shorts, swim suit, tank top, etc… Sunscreen, a hat and cheap sunglasses.
What to bring? Water to drink, water shoes or flip-flops that can get wet, a towel.
I have over 700 hours of yoga teacher training and over 1,700 hours of yoga instruction. I am also certified in SUP instruction through the American Canoe Association in addition to First Aid and CPR training with the American Red Cross. I am available for private instruction in basic paddling strokes, launching, transporting and safety if you are looking for more in-depth training.
