Starting tonight, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 5:30 PM, I will be teaching a a warm yoga class level 1/2.
Warm Yoga (approx. 85-90 degrees) is an invigorating Yoga Class that stretches the body, mind, and spirit while toning the muscles, increasing range of motion of the joints, and de-bloating the body by releasing toxins through breathing and sweating.
Warm alignment yoga combines the therapeutic benefits of light heat, movement, breath, and energy alignment into each session. Subtle Yoga and body topics will be introduced into each class. Subtle Yoga includes chakras, chi and meridians.
Level 1-2 classes are designed for those who have had some exposure to yoga, including an introduction to basic yoga poses and proper alignment. The experienced beginner student would like to explore their practice more and become more familiar with poses and the use of the breath. I may introduce more challenging poses, such as arm balances and standing balance poses, as the student is ready. Modifications are given for beginners.
